SKINZ, BRAINZ, GUTZ

I saw this Volvo parked over by Astor Place tonight. Not much can really be said about this one. I mean it does speak the truth. If you see a skinhead in a black Fred Perry polo with some white paint on it...please shake his hand for me. Oi!

The new Shea is not OK

My friend Brian who is a diehard Cubs fan invited me out to a game versus the Mets. Albeit being a Yankee fan, I remember going to many Mets games as a kid at Shea Stadium. I haven't been to a game at Shea in over a decade. I'm not psyched at all on the soon to be replacements of Yankee and Shea Stadiums. Will our generation cherish them like some of our grandparents cherished Ebbetts Field? Only time will tell. This is here is the beginning stages of what will be CitiPark. I hate these corporate named ballparks. Well except for Monster Park where the 49ers play...that sounds kinda cool at least. Anyways fuck these new stadiums. The current stadiums are still in good condition and are hallowed grounds to Yankee & Mets fans alike.

P.S. The Cubs clobbered the Mets that night. Continuing Brian's streak of never going to a Cubs game where they have lost. If anyone from the Cubs franchise is reading this...email me and I'll get you in contact with him so he can be on payroll to go to every game and eventually break the curse you have.

P.S.S. Yankees still rule. Fuck the haters!

N train to the S&M lines

I was taking the N train to Astoria when I noticed this sticker on the subway door. I heeded this warning more carefully than the normal "Do not lean on door" stickers. But really who the hell would lick the fucking Subway door? Everyone with a sweaty ass from running down the platform to catch a fleeting rush hour trains leans that sweaty ass up against the door. If I want a salty taste in my mouth I'll buy a pretzel.

I bid you welcome...

This blog will be where I post photos taken on my Treo 650 of what I deem funny, absurd, interesting, or whatever else I see fit that I come across here in gritty city. Be forewarned I'm not the best photographer and the Treo camera is no spiffy Nikon or anything. But it's what these photos capture that make me glad to have been born in New York City and have drawn me back here.

"City Of Sleaze" by Skarhead
A concrete jungle
Violence and pain
Come here innocent
You won't leave the same
Greedy hands better watch out
Payback's a bitch and that's what it's all about

Drugs money sex
Make the world go eround
Kings at crime
Run this town
So beg for your life
And get on your knees
I'm the cure
And your the disease

The rotten apple
The city that never sleeps
New York, New York
Home of the sleaze
Dropped many suckers like you in my past
Scum like you don't deserve a second chance
